Dogs are the most loyal companion of the shovel owner and the family of the shovel owner. In order to make the dog live longer and healthier, the shovel owner should also have a regular physical examination for the dog.
But in fact, some examinations may not be done at a professional pet hospital, and the shoveler can also perform them at home.
Today I will teach you some checking skills for all the shovelers!
1
Touch the nose
If the dog's nose is wet, it means it is very healthy; if it is dry, it means it is uncomfortable or sick, and you need to pay more attention and hydrate.
Of course, it is normal for a dog to have a dry nose when he wakes up.
2
Look at the eyes
to see if the dog is crying, observe whether the dog's tear glands have darker color, and reflect on whether it is too salty or too good to eat.
3
Smell the tone
When the shoveler gets close to the dog, get closer to the dog's mouth and smell whether its tone is fresh. If it tastes like, it means that there may be oral disease! Especially for older dogs, you should pay more attention.
4
Flip the ears
If the dog's ears smell bad or keep shaking his head, it means there is dirt or inflammation in the ears.
Sometimes the dog's ears are just dirty, so it is wiped clean with a wet tissue or alcohol cotton.
If there is something brown from the ears and eyes to the ears, you have to do it well.
If it is a dog with hair in its ears, see if the hair is growing again and whether it is necessary to pluck it.
5
When shaking hands with it
When playing with the dog, turn over the dog's foot pad to see if there are any cracks, and point out whether the hair inside is long.
Use your hands to touch if there is any damage or small pustules in the toes, whether the nails are pointed, it is time to trim it, and then touch up if there is a long bag on your legs.
6
Font the dog
When stroking the dog, consciously touch the dog's chin, back of the ears, back of the neck, root of the tail and belly.
This way you can find whether there are knots in the hair, whether there are small bumps, lumps, etc. on the skin.
Check if there are any small brown or red dots and dander falling off. If so, it means that the dog may be infected with mites.
7
Look at the dog's normal anus is slightly concave inward, without a particularly obvious odor.
If a dog is obviously sitting and rubbing his butt, it should check in time whether the anus is red and swollen. If it becomes inflamed, it will swell and protrude outward, and the smell is very smelly, so it needs to go to the pet hospital to deal with it.
If you can squeeze the anal glands, clean it up for the dog in time.
8
Check feces
When the shoveler takes the dog out for a walk every day, the main purpose is to let it excrete.
Too shovelers are best to see with their own eyes whether the dog's poop is dry or thin, so as to grasp the physical condition at any time, adjust their diet, so that the dog's poop is smooth and beautiful every day.
