B Fee is about to usher in the 300th milestone of his Manchester United career. According to the "Mirror", the deal almost fell through due to a video of B Fei angrily kicking the locker room door during his time at Sporting CP.

According to reports, Manchester United had targeted Fee B as a signing target as early as 2018, and Solskjaer also participated in the decision-making. However, in an internal recruitment meeting, the recruitment director played a video of B Fei kicking the door after being sent off. A club source recalled that this sparked heated debate about his "hot temper", "being a risk" and "not being able to control himself".

At the critical moment, then-CEO Woodward stood up to all odds. Sources revealed that Woodward instead admired B Fee's passion and remembered Sir Alex Ferguson's concept of players needing a "fiery temper" on the field, thinking that this attitude is "very suitable for Manchester United."

It was Woodward's persistence, coupled with his "very close relationship" with then-Portuguese Sporting Varandas, that ultimately drove the negotiations. It is reported that Barcelona and Tottenham were also interested in him at the time, but B Fee "only wanted to belong to Manchester United." After Manchester United sent a delegation to Lisbon in early 2020, the two parties finally concluded the deal for 47 million pounds, which was lower than the upper limit of 55 million pounds that Manchester United was willing to pay. It was regarded as a "bargain", which benefited from the good relationship between the two clubs.

A club insider described the scene when B Fee arrived in Manchester: "He was very eager to join... smiling all over his face... We rolled out the red carpet for him." The insider also praised B Fee for having "Manchester United DNA", an excellent attitude, "always interacting with the fans", and "will go through fire and water for Manchester United."
