Former Manchester United player Phil Jones said that young player Obi Martin should be patient at Manchester United for the opportunity.

Obi Martin, 17, is a Danish striker. He has made seven appearances in the Premier League last season and scored twice in Manchester United's warm-up match against Hong Kong, China in May this year. However, this summer, Manchester United spent £200 million to strengthen the front line, with the transfer fee of new center Sheshko as high as £74 million. And Obie Martin's chances may be reduced and he will return to Manchester United reserves to play.

Phil Jones has been working for the United U18 team for the past two seasons. He said: "I think Obie Martin has to go all out now and recognize where he is. He is a very talented player, and when I worked with the United U18 players, I watched a lot of his games."

Phil Jones went on to say: "When he was playing in the U18 game, he was like an adult playing kids, completely crushing his opponents, and it was too easy for him. You can tell that he has surpassed that age, and then he went to the United U21 team and competed at that level. Some goals were also scored in the game. He eventually made a few substitutes for Manchester United's first team."

Then Phil Jones said: "I think he needs to understand the positioning in his mind and clarify what his realistic expectations are. Will he play every game? No. Will he go to the first team bench every game? No. But what he needs to do is when he gets called, he has to be prepared and be happy. Sometimes he gets called and he gets the chance. He has to keep a professional attitude and be ready at any time. Because if he does that, the team will have a very good player."
