"The Sun" reports that Manchester United is considering including Armas and Vitek in the first team lineup next season.
The 18-year-old Armas is currently on loan to the English Championship team Sheffield Wednesday, while the 22-year-old goalkeeper Vitek is on loan to the English Championship team Bristol City.
Manchester United believes that players loaned to the English Championship have a real chance to break into the first team lineup. Left-back Armas made his United debut against Leicester City in March and has started all 11 games since joining Sheffield Wednesday on transfer deadline day.
Goalkeeper Vitek started all 15 games for Bristol City and tied for third in the clean sheets list. Wittek is yet to make his debut for United but he impressed in a pre-season friendly against Norwegian side Rosenborg last year.
Manchester United is looking to consolidate the goalkeeper position. The club is likely to sell the second goalkeeper Altay Bayendel, who has made frequent mistakes next year, and the third goalkeeper Tom Heaton is about to turn 40 years old. If Manchester United ultimately decide not to include Wittek in the first-team squad, they will cash in on him while his value is high.
Clubs have begun to include secondary transfer sharing clauses and buy-back options in the sales contracts of youth training players to ensure that they can obtain a second and possibly higher fee in the future.
Abmas was completely uninvolved in Manchester United's pre-season plans as the club was waiting to finalize a season-long loan deal for him. Sheffield Wednesday are currently at the bottom of the Championship with -4 points after being deducted 12 points for entering administration. But Armas' performance has won widespread praise and United are planning to strengthen the left side of the team next year.
Dogu, signed in January, failed to impress, while Diego Leon, an 18-year-old player signed in the summer, has been playing in the U21 echelon, but Manchester United is not expected to recall Armas or Vitek in advance in the winter transfer window.
Manchester United signed the then 16-year-old Abmas from the Watford Youth Academy in 2023. Before making his debut under Amorin, he was selected for the substitute list 16 times but did not appear. The player excelled on a pre-season tour of the United States in 2024, but then-manager Ten Hag insisted he was still not ready for senior football.
Abmas, who won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year Award last season, has a contract with Manchester United that expires in 2027, and the same is true for Wittek's contract.
