I believe that cat owners have seen cats running wildly at home. Why do cats behave like this? After raising a cat for a long time, I realized that the cat suddenly "runs wildly" all over the room, which is giving you a signal!
In fact, for cats running wildly, there is a proper noun in English-speaking countries: Frenetic random activity periods, crazy random activity time, referred to as FRAPs, refers to the crazy activity of animals in a short period of time.
So why do cats suddenly run around the room?
1. Release energy
Cats sleep two-thirds of the day and eat freely more than a dozen times a day. These behaviors are accumulating energy. When a cat accumulates a lot of energy, it requires a release process.
The cats suddenly run wildly at home, just to release energy. At this time, their eyes usually glow and then end until they are exhausted.
2. Feel excited
When we humans encounter happy and excited things that cannot be expressed in words, they will express them in various body languages. For example, athletes will run wildly in the sports field after getting a good ranking, and cats will do the same.
When a cat sees his owner coming home, or has delicious food or his likes, he will not help but run away to express his excitement and joy.
3. Stop the smell on your body
Cats are very sensitive animals. They do not want their bodies to be contaminated with other odors, nor do they want their whereabouts to be exposed because of the smell, causing danger.
So many cats will run wildly when they are touched by people or after they have various smells on their bodies, hoping to get rid of these smells.
4. Hunting
In fact, the cat suddenly ran wildly at home, and it may be hunting. Cats are very excellent hunters. They have very strong dynamic vision and smell. Even very small flying insects can detect them and hunt them down. When we see the cats suddenly running wildly, it may be just catching prey we haven't seen.
5. The pressure is too great
If the cat suddenly runs like crazy, it may be caused by emotional abnormalities.
For example, when a cat is under too much pressure, it feels anxious, afraid, uneasy, etc. When it cannot vent this emotion, it will vent by running wildly. When it is running wildly, it will not feel scared.
If this is the case, the pet owner should spend more time with the cat, soothe its emotions, and find out the reasons for the cat's stress as soon as possible to help it solve the problem. When comforting the cat, you can give it some snack rewards appropriately, as it will calm down more easily.
6. It may be because I was in estrus
I only realized after raising a cat for a long time that when a cat is in estrus, it will also suddenly run away. Because when the cat is in heat, its body will be very restless. If it is not mate, it will run involuntarily to release its desires.
For this situation, the pet owner can choose a suitable spouse for it. If you do not want the cat to mating and give birth, it is recommended to take it for sterilization after the estrus is over.
