Dogs have ear mites. This is a very common problem. It is generally caused by the lack of care and cleaning of the poop shovelers. Once the dog has ear mites, the ear odor will be particularly odorful, which will also cause harm to the dog's health.

Pay more attention to the behavior of the dog. Once you find that the dog is constantly scratching its ears and shaking its head, the shoveler can check the dog's ear canal first. If there are brown or rust-colored secretions and emit an unpleasant smell, it is basically ear mites.

Methods and later care methods:

Step 1: Use ear drops to clean the ear canal

If the dog has ear mites, the pet owner will first clean the ears, first use ear washing water to drip into the ear canal, 2 to 3 drops, then cover the ear canal with the dog's ears and start massage, massage gently for 1 to 2 minutes, let the dog shake its head by itself, then use a makeup remover or wipe the dirty things thrown out of the dog, and there is no need to suck it inward with force. After wiping it clean, use a medical cotton swab to dig the secretions in the external ear canal. There is no need to dig into the inner ear canal to avoid damaging the dog's ears.

Second step: Use the medicine for ear mites

to clean the dog's ears, use the medicine for ear mites to drip into the ear, cover the ear canal with the same ear, then gently massage for 1 to 2 minutes, let the dog shake its head by itself, and then gently wipe the dirty things thrown out by the dog with a cotton pad, and clean the external ear canal the same way. Never use human ear drops at will to avoid unconditional risk.

The third step, regular external deworming

ear mites are ectoparasites and live in the ears of dogs. After the treatment period of dogs, oral external deworming drugs are required every 15 days. After the ear mites are cured, it is recommended to deworm externally every month.

The fourth step is to trim the ear hair

For example, in some dogs with ear hairs that have too much ear hair or too long ear hair will block the natural discharge of ear wax. Over time, too much accumulation in it can easily lead to bacteria.

It is recommended to trim the ear hair for the dog regularly, and it is best to remove the ear hair. You can sprinkle a little hair plucking powder in the dog's ears, which can relieve the dog's pain. Then use small tweezers to remove the ear hair, and then clean the remaining powder.
