Castosis surgery for male cats (i.e. sterilization surgery) is a routine surgery that veterinarians often face. Surgery can cause male cats to lose their fertility and correct a series of bad writing caused by the influence of androgens, such as urinating, howling, etc.
First inject sedation anesthesia and then the cat "sleeps" and then insert a catheter into the mouth to allow the cat to inhale through spontaneous breathing.
Shat the scrotum and surrounding skin and wipe and disinfect.
The surgical area is covered with a sterile cloth, and the surgical instruments are prepared (there are curved hemostasis forceps, pointed scissors, and tissue forceps required during the operation) and the operation is started.
The two testicles are located in the scrotum on both sides, and a small opening needs to be cut on the ventral side of the scrotum to expose the testicles. During the process, you need to pinch the root of the scrotum with your left hand to make the skin covering the testicles tight, and hold a scalpel with your right hand to perform the operation.
The first testicle is removed from the scrotum, and the sperm cord and blood vessels are ligated and removed. After ligation, observe whether there is bleeding at the fracture end to ensure that there is no problem and then return it to the hydrocele. Similarly, remove the testicles on the other side.
Finally check the wound, apply iodine or iodine tincture to disinfect. Generally, there is no need to suture the scrotum, and it will slowly shrink in the end. However, for the large wound caused by the large "dandan", we will also make corresponding treatments, and may choose to use skin glue to bond or other methods.
