After Manchester United defeated Liverpool 2-1 away from home, Manchester United defender Maguire was interviewed. He emphasized the great significance of this victory to the fans and the club, and pointed out that the team's mental strength after being equalized was the key to victory.

How does it feel to win this hard-won victory at Anfield?

We have been waiting for a long time. It's been a tough place for us in recent years. We know how important this win is to our fans. Although there is an old saying that "it's only three points", today's victory was more than three points. It means a lot to our club, our fans and it will be a great memory for them to have. The lads are excited and, again, it's a cliché but we now need to build on that and make sure we draw confidence and fighting spirit from it.

What do you think is the key to winning this game? Especially after the opponent equalized the score.

The key is that when they scored the equalizer, we still persisted to the end. Even though they put a lot of pressure in the second half and Gakpo hit the post, other than that I don't think they created too many chances and we felt pretty comfortable.

Then they ripped apart our defense with a beautiful combination. At that moment, we could have been really down and out, but we were united, and that was the most gratifying thing. The home fans are behind them and our fans, given what they have been through in recent years, will certainly be fearing the worst. To be able to come out of that situation and score the winning goal was really important.

How would you evaluate the team's performance with the ball?

We can play better with the ball, of course, we are sloppy at times. But there were moments when we managed to break through their defense and create a number of chances, especially in the first half.

What does the team need to learn from this victory?

The fighting spirit and that energy has to run through every game we play and it's something we need to make sure we show again next Saturday against Brighton. I'm sure the fans will have a great time tonight.
