The latest report from British media Talksport stated that Manchester United legend and Carrick, who had been the team's temporary coach for a short time, may be willing to return to the team and take over.
After Manchester United fired head coach Solskjaer in 2021, Carrick briefly served as Manchester United's interim head coach. He has remained unbeaten in three games, including a victory over Huang Qian in the Champions League and a victory over Arsenal in the league.
Since then, Carrick has served as the head coach of Middlesbrough. Carrick was also one of the candidates when Manchester United appointed Amorin last year.
Although Ratcliff is determined to support Amorin as long as possible, if the results do not improve, Manchester United has begun to develop contingency plans. This could include a range of potential temporary options, as Amorin himself was unwilling to take over the team in the mid-league last year.
Another popular name is Bournemouth coach Elaura, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Sources said his renewal discussions with Bournemouth will heat up in the coming days. Despite selling several main defenders, "Cherry" has still made an amazing start this season (currently ranked 6th in the league).
If Amorin fails to stay, Manchester United will choose a successor with English football experience.
