According to the exclusive news of the Daily Mail, Newcastle intends to introduce Aston Villa captain John McKin.

reported that Newcastle is considering introducing McKinn. After Longstaff transferred to Leeds United for £12 million, coach Eddie Howe hopes to restore his midfielder reserve to six.

Eddie Howe's team adopts a 4-3-3 formation, with only four remaining midfielders left because Willoc suffered a foot injury in Singapore last week and is expected to be out of the game for four to six weeks. According to the Daily Mail, McKinn ranks high on Newcastle's list of signings. Currently in the midfield position, Newcastle has not taken action against any players as they are focusing on finding a replacement for Isaac. The forward who wanted to leave the team was excluded from first-team training by Eddie Howe on Wednesday.

McKin's reliability and character are one of the reasons Newcastle is interested in the 30-year-old, especially given the turmoil the club has experienced this summer window. McKinn's contract with Aston Villa ends in 2027.

It is reported that the Scottish international may be able to be introduced in this summer window, but Villa has previously rejected Everton's interest. In addition, Villa coach Emery does not want to lose the player.

However, Villa also needs to sell players, and after seven years at the club, McKinn may also be ready for new challenges, especially if Newcastle is able to provide qualifying for the Champions League.

McKinn made a total of 49 appearances for Villa last season, contributing 4 goals and 6 assists. His teammate Jacques Ramsey is also one of Newcastle's concerns, and Rudoni of Coventry City is also appreciated.

Currently, Guimaraes, Jolinton, Tonali and Lewis Miley are available midfielders under Eddie Howe. Tonali had minor knee problems as he approached the end of his trip to Asia, but he is expected to resume normal training this week.
