Why can’t you raise lilies when raising cats? If a cat is exposed to lily pollen, it may have adverse reactions, such as vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, etc. This is because the alkaloid components in lilies can pose a threat to cats' health.

If you have lilies and cats at home, please pay special attention! Recent foreign studies have shown that various lilies have a special chemical substance that may be fatal to cats. Lilies look beautiful and charming. Researchers from the University of California in the United States found that lily leaves and pollen petals of lily flowers may cause kidney failure in cats. Since lilies produce deadly chemicals throughout the plant, as long as there are lilies at home, cats can just grab and lick the lily pollen on their paws, it may cause death.

Researchers said that some cats seem to be more sensitive to lily toxicity than others, and each cat has different severity of renal failure, including vomiting, lethargy and lack of appetite, and the cat seems to improve after a few hours; however, if not properly treated, lily toxin will die within 36 to 72 hours.

Researchers specifically warn that all kinds of lilies are poisonous to cats, so they remind people who raise cats at home to never place lilies at home to endanger the lives of cats.
